I’ll keep this short and sweet. I just saw the above ad on dailykos for collaborationist New York State Senator Jose Peralta by the “Independent Democratic Conference” (IDC, often described as an acronym for “I Demand Cash”).
For those not familiar with this situation here in the Empire State, Peralta is one of the 8 collaborationist traitor state senators who were elected as Democrats but caucus with the state senate GOP to keep them in power by one vote. This story has been covered by David Nir a month ago:
How do you know that the IDC—the eight-member junta composed of turncoat Democrats who ensure GOP control of New York's state Senate—is finally feeling the heat? Because they're now engaged in rebranding so comically desperate, it's worthy of Arrested Development. At a town hall held earlier this month by one of the newest members of the IDC, which in real life is short for "Independent Democratic Conference," Brooklyn state Sen. Jesse Hamilton handed out flyers claiming the initials actually stand for "Immigrant Defense Coalition."
The rebranding is clearly continuing, here on Dkos no less.
So you can do 2 things (for now) to fight back against these collaborators:
1) click on that ad to send money from the IDC directly to support the excellent work at Dailykos! (obviously close the window after that)
2) Sign up for the anti-IDC resistance facebook group here: www.facebook.com/…
And of course, once these pricks have primary challengers, donate and volunteer for them!
